Out-patient Chemotherapy ward and cleanroom

The chemotherapy ward has two sections: pediatric chemotherapy and adult chemotherapy, which has totally 49 beds and provides services to outpatients.

A cleanroom is defined as a room in which the concentration of airborne particles is controlled and may contain one or more clean zones.

Monitoring the contaminants in the air is crucial when preparing the medication for chemotherapy. These airborne contaminants may be caused by dust, micro-organisms, paper and people. Specialized filters are used in order to achieve these specified limits. The aim is to keep the air in the cleanroom as clean as possible.

for the first time in Isfahan province, in Omid hospital, a clean room was built for chemotherapy drug preparation ,with 5 laminal biological hoods, class 2, type B2, based on FS209 and ISO1464410000 standards, and all chemotherapy drugs Inpatients and outpatients and combined TPN solutions are prepared in this unit.
